Post 10th grade the most important subjects students come through especially if they have taken science stream would be that of maths, physics and chemistry. These three subjects form the foundational stone during 11th and 12th grade as well for the future period of students. The reason for this is that they form a vital part of the board exam for the students as well as other competitive exams. Hence there is no doubt that a large part of focus during this period especially at 12th grade is required for these subjects. Now that maths and physics are quite similar subjects which primarily have formulas and mathematical portions tagged along with chemistry quite falls apart but rather is a little more complicated than the other two subjects. Chemistry is a subject that has a mixture of calculations, formulas, reactions and various other things mixed and looks like a mixed bag when compared to other subjects. Therefore students might find it tough to prepare for the same. Thus to score high marks in the class 12 chemistry exam, the students have to follow these important tips. They are:
Preparing NCERT books and other key materials:
A major bit of the class 12 exam papers contains questions and topics which are hugely covered under the syllabus of NCERT textbooks. Hence the usage of NCERT books and various other key materials would have a tad bit advantage over the rest. Further, the students have to make sure that they cover all the topics which are given in these books along with the fact of preparing them by the weightage of each part in the exam. This is important because the syllabus at this level is comparatively huge and this segregation and usage of these books play an important role. Therefore a student must cover topics, diagrams, reactions, solved and unsolved questions in these materials. In this regard, NCERT books for class 12 chemistry in Hindi might be of great usage as they have various materials and question papers of previous year exams.
Sample papers:
One of the main things to do for any class 12 subject preparation is by completing sample papers and the previous year question papers. You can refer to NCERT Books for Class 12 Chemistry in Hindi for a better understanding. This is because predominantly a large portion of the question paper even from the board exam perspective will have certain repeated questions of the earlier years. Not just that students will get some knowledge but they will have a good understanding of the pattern and of that of the important questions as well.
Numerical and reactions:
Now this is one of the important and differentiating features of chemistry from that of others. The major part of class 12 chemistry contains nothing but numerical and reactions. A large part of electrochemistry, organic and inorganic chemistry contains nothing but numerical reactions, products etc. Hence a student must have a heavy focus on these subjects for a few reasons namely weightage, complexity and so on. Also giving a good amount of focus will make the subject look simple, help the students score good marks as well save time in terms of preparation as well during the time of giving the examination.
Presentation:
Presentation of the paper plays an important role for any subject especially this level of education and especially in terms of those students studying at 12th grade. In a subject like chemistry, presentation plays an important role whatsoever not because of the mixture of things present in them.
Repeated writing and solving:
As said earlier numerical and reactions have a large weightage especially in 2 or 3 chapters of the paper. Hence showing importance to these chapters will boost the chance of scoring marks for a student. Simply say it is important that a student makes sure he or she gets accustomed to writing things. Practising to write things will have a two to three-fold advantage to the students because firstly they will find it easy to understand the concepts, secondly the credibility of the solutions, thirdly it will be easy for the student to present things at the time of examination. Both the previous and the current points will go hand in hand with this practice.
Tail chapters:
This aspect of tail chapters is a phenomenon present in almost every subject. These are usually those chapters that do not have a great weightage in the paper and might carry not more than 10 marks. But these chapters somehow make it through in almost every paper. Thus students preparing for this subject must make sure they do not leave out these tail chapters. A normal preparation along with a certain involvement of tail chapters will not just help the student score more but also provide a cookie point as it forms a bonus in the paper.
Self-evaluation:
Once again this is one point that is common for all preparations be it normal tests, board exams, competitive papers and various other things. A student must know where they stand before exams. Hence one must make sure he or she self-evaluates in any possible way to make improvements, change the way of preparation, focus on certain things and so on. This is one key factor that will differentiate a topper from that of other students.
Time Management:
As said earlier chemistry is one of those vast subjects because of the presence of various activities and concepts involved in it ranging from formulas, concepts, reactions and numerical. So a student must have good time management skills while giving the exam. If one fails in doing so the above-mentioned thing then there might be dire consequences as the subject in its realm is very vast.
It is important one make sure to learn the above tips, understand what is present in them and the most valuable thing out there would be to execute them when it comes to the time of examination. If one does so they can score very good marks in a chemistry examination.
