There are a lot of methods to make WoW TBC gold in the expansion. Besides selling items in the Auction House, slaying enemies, and doing repeat dungeons with a party, people often forget the significance of professions in The Burning Crusade Classic. Professions are just as important as a character’s class or race in TBC, and with a variety of methods as well as opportunities to farm WoW TBC Classic gold, players can use their profession to their advantage. What’s more, Blizzard opted to increase the impact of profession-specific items which enhances a gamer’s user experience. An undeniable factor about professions is that some of them are just better compared to others. If players want to get as much gold as they can to purchase all of the WoW Classic TBC items that they want, then they first have to know which professions generate the most gold and start from there.
Jewelcrafting
For the players who want to solely focus on getting as much WoW TBC Classic gold as possible, then the Jewelcrafting profession is perfect. It’s one of the new professions that’s been added to the expansion and has grown to be one of the best gold earners. The reason being is because of a new mechanic that’s been added to Burning Crusade which is the sockets. Sockets are essentially slots that are present in specific pieces of gear. Players can socket in Gems should they want to increase their stats or acquire a passive bonus that complements their build. So how does that go well with the Jewelcrafting profession? Well, Jewelcrafters can make the best Gems in the game. With so many players who are looking to constantly improve their character or gear, they’re sure going to need a whole lot of Gems if they want to experiment. The fact is, Gems don’t come in cheap – especially the rarer ones that increase a player’s stats significantly compared to the common ones. This makes players who have mastered the Jewelcrafting profession to be some of the wealthiest people in the game.
Alchemy/Herbalism
The Alchemy and Herbalism professions go hand in hand as they are both able to produce, especially for players that are doing end-game content. For Alchemy, players can concoct all sorts of potions and elixirs. The only downside for it is that players have been greatly limited to the number of consumables that they can have active at once for the Burning Crusade Classic expansion. But besides that, it’s a great money-making profession that doesn’t take a lot of time learning either (except when searching for the recipes). What’s more, for those that would love to dive in deeper, there are also added specializations for the Alchemy profession which allows the players to yield more items when crafting.
Herbalism, on the other hand, gives players the ability to grow all sorts of herbs throughout the Outlands. Since the Herbalism profession is capable of harvesting plants and herbs, these can then be turned into powerful consumables – just like in the Alchemy profession. The profession can also convert mote of Life nodes that are scattered in the Outlands and turn them into Primal Life, an item that is used to craft high-level gear and items. This results in Herbalism being a stable profession to earn gold at all times. Since consumables will never die out in Burning Crusade Classic, players can expect to have no problem in selling their items to other players for years to come.
Professions to Avoid
You can’t talk about the good without at least mentioned about the bad. All of the professions in the WoW TBC are great – each of them has its own uniqueness and flaws that make them what they are today. But for money-making purposes, some professions falter in that regard. Here are some of the professions that players should avoid when talking about farming gold:
- Engineering
The Engineering profession isn’t bad perse. In fact, it has a lot going for it such as being able to make quality-of-life items. That being said, there’s not much else besides that in terms of farming gold. This results in the process becoming tedious as time goes on. What’s more, players would have to rely on the Zapthrottle Mote Extractor if they want to get anything done at all.
- Blacksmithing
Blacksmithing is often looked upon as a profession that’s great for crafting the best gear and weapons in the game. While that may true, people often forget that most of the powerful pieces that they can craft will be bound to them as soon as they are made. Unfortunately, this means that players won’t be able to sell them at all. There are indeed a couple of unique world drop recipes that they can get, but they’ll have to comb through all of the Outlands to find it first. As a result, Blacksmithing isn’t a profession that we wouldn’t recommend compared to the previous ones that were talked about.
Final Thoughts
Keep in mind that the generation of gold may be subject to each server in World of Warcraft TBC Class, so it’s possible for the recommendations that were provided to be not as effective but would overall still be great WoW TBC Classic gold-farming methods.
